Every retail pharmacy needs a public website
UP's Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA) has directed retail pharmacies to publish their essential details on a public website, so patients can verify who they are buying from.
Licence, pharmacist, premises and stock details
The site must show your drug licence number, the appointed pharmacist, the licensed premises and stock-related details.
Updated every week
The information must be refreshed weekly. A one-time static page is not enough - someone has to keep it current.
Hospital pharmacies: show purchase and sale price
Pharmacies inside hospital premises are expected to display a price list with the actual purchase price and sale price of drugs, since patients there rarely have an alternative.

How often does the website need to be updated?

Penalties and enforcement are decided by FSDA and the drug control rules, and we are not a legal adviser. Check the FSDA order or ask your drug inspector. What we can say is that starting early leaves time to fix gaps before 1 November.
Is a Facebook page, WhatsApp number or Google listing enough?
The directive talks about a public website carrying specific details. We would not rely on a social page or listing as a substitute; confirm with FSDA if you are unsure. A proper website also helps patients find you.
How long does it take to get live?
