SF Lorry is a mobile logistics application developed by TechOTD for the SF Global Logistics ecosystem. The app enables shippers to book lorries on demand, track freight in real time, manage delivery status, and communicate with drivers — all from a smartphone. Built for fleet operators and logistics professionals, SF Lorry streamlines cargo coordination, reduces empty runs, and improves operational efficiency across the entire logistics network.
Logistics mobile apps need to work reliably in high-motion environments — on the road, in loading yards, and in areas with intermittent connectivity. Our challenge was building separate but connected experiences for two very different users: shippers who need to book and track cargo, and drivers who need real-time navigation, delivery instructions, and proof-of-delivery capture. We built a role-based mobile architecture with a single backend powering distinct shipper and driver interfaces. Real-time GPS tracking was implemented with offline fallback to ensure location updates continue even in low-connectivity areas. Push notification workflows keep all parties informed at every stage — booking confirmation, pickup, in-transit, and delivery. Digital proof-of-delivery with photo capture and e-signature eliminated paperwork and disputes.
